Chargers win big at home opener remains unbeaten

Guevara scores her 2nd goal against OCC
Cypress, CA - The Chargers return home after two weekends sleeping on hotel beds and a 3-0-1 record to take home. Opening a conference game against Orange Coast which has a record of 4-0 and outscoring its opponents 14-1 is a challenging task that the Chargers must face on a steamy hot afternoon at Ray Haas Field. As expected, the Pirates are a pesky team that defend the ball very tight. However at the 30th minute, Reyna Jacome attacks toward the Pirates goal box and boots the ball into the net to put the Chargers on the board. Then at the 77th minute, Lisette Guevara cuts through two defenders and introduces her first goal of the season. With a solid 2-goal lead, Guevara once again finds herself with a wide-opened look and burns the net for the second time of the afternoon at the 88th minute mark. The Chargers (4-0-1, 1-0) beat Orange Coast (4-1, 0-1) in a crucial home conference match.
